Very Good
According to the developers website, the iPhone does not support input volume control. That is what is app lacks, but this isnt the developers fault. I did a couple of four track recordings with a small amp on both clean and distorted settings. As long as I wasnt striking the strings harshly it didnt clip, however, moving the iPhone farther away, or pointing the mic away from the source helps this. I tried recording a live band in a rehearsal space and it was just too loud to not clip, no matter what I did - its okay if you just want to get some rough ideas down and you dont mind the whole band sounding like Sonic Youth. Otherwise, it is very easy to use and the ability to download individual tracks over wifi is great. As another reviewer mentioned, the addition of a metronome would be useful. Ive experienced a couple of times where recording stuttered, but my iPhones been a little wonky lately, so Im not sure where that problem lies. The biggest plus for this App is that it allows to the ability to get stuff down quickly wherever you are. I like that a lot, and I am keeping it handy whenever I play an instrument. Great job. (Devs: please add a metronome. Also, the downloads need to be better defined so I dont have a million "track 1"s, etc. Another thought... make it so that I can take a picture for each track - the idea being that if I am playing around with settings on a pedal, I can photograph the settings for that track for future reference. Thanks.)
